C.M.B.C Next Gen/College Age Ministry Assistant
MINISTRY POSITION SUMMARY:
The youth/college ministry assistant serves as the trusted assistant while providing high level administrative support to the Next Gen/college ministry and the church. The Assistant is expected to maintain complete confidentiality and serve as a caring assistant to interface with all the CMBC members. This position is responsible for supporting the youth/college ministry and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and guests of the Next Gen/college minister and the church. This position requires a cheerful, pleasant, and caring Christ-like spirit. A good sense of humor and the ability to effectively work with a diversity of people is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Next Gen/college ministry assistant primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the Next Gen/College Ministry calendar – working as a liaison for all ancillary ministries.
- Provide administrative support to the Next Gen/college minister (including correspondence, reports, files, etc.)
- Work alongside the Next Gen/college age minister in coordinating and planning annual events.
- Coordinate and organize daily office activities and operations and direct the workflow as appropriate to minimize the demands on the Next Gen/college minister.
- Provide support to the Next Gen/college minister in preparation of worship materials for weekly services and special events.
- Assist the Next Gen/college minister with managing social media platforms
- Provide hospitality support, arrange meals, accommodations, and logistics for meetings, events, guests, and programs hosted by the Next Gen/college minister.
- Assess and troubleshoot requests, evaluate resources for resolution, and recommend or initiate responsive action.
- Manage flow of information so that management receives all pertinent information and recommendations from different perspectives.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and other materials. Maintain paper and electronic files in a confidential manner.
- Monitor and reconcile expenses directly related to the Next Gen/college minister’s budget. Process invoices, expense reports, and other documents for payment.
- Monitor the activities of the Next Gen/college minister’s reporting staff, including deadlines, leave, travel and ensure consistent customer service delivery in a collaborative and solutions-based capacity for all levels of staff and volunteers.
- Perform confidential tasks and special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Next Gen/college minister or Senior Pastor.
