The Department of Christian Education is responsible for training, development, and empowerment programs at CMBC. Our Christian Education Ministry oversees and promotes all learning and educational initiatives for our Sunday School Ministry, Discipleship and Outreach Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Strike Back, Pearls of Wisdom, Rubies for Christ and Youth and Young Adult and Seniors Training modules.
Another key component of CMBC education is the ongoing training of all ministers, ministry leaders and staff. To this end, training and evaluation workshops and modules are provided and access also is given to our on campus library facilities. Ongoing training is also offered through virtual classrooms by certified and qualified facilitators.
Core to the educational agenda of CMBC is, coordinating and unifying of various education ministry in a seamless manner, keeping a relevant leadership training program, and offering resources to all members and persons desiring to improve and grow in Christ. As our educational agenda and initiatives continue to evolve the future looks very encouraging as we offer real education, reliable information, and relevant training.
The educational vision under the direction of our senior pastor will see the CMBC School of Ministry which will offer training through thirty offered courses from Certificate to Diploma levels in sixteen disciplines where upon completion of the Oscar D Epps Diploma our ministers will be eligible for ordination.
Our intent here at CMBC is to give all the opportunity to have Christ centered education that is Content driven, Contextually relevant, Character building and develops a high level of Competency to do the work of ministry.
